Five Reasons Why We Love Baby Stella for a First Doll

Dolls are such a great tool for encouraging a child's nurturing instincts, as well as teaching them empathy and social skills. We believe every child should have at least one doll. Our favorite first doll is Baby Stella. This line by Manhattan Toy is well known for their magnetic pacifiers. Here's five reasons why we love them:

3. Awesome accessories: Adding a few accessories can really encourage some sweet play. We recommend starting with somewhere to sleep (either the soft crib or bassinet) and a stroller. Strollers are super fun and also tap in to your toddler's desire to push and pull. Plus, one of my favorite things to do with my daughter is to go on a "walk" with her and her baby doll. We also carry clothes for Baby Stellas, but those are pretty tricky for littles to do on their own. 

4. 100% soft: When you're buying a first doll, it's nice to have an option that doesn't have any hard parts. This means it is totally cuddly and a great nap time buddy when your child is old enough.
