Orders may be cancelled if we have not packed or shipped the order. Cancelled orders can cost our business time and money, so we do ask that customers try to limit cancellations to one per year. 

This can occasionally happen if an address is entered incorrectly or not recognized by the carrier. Please send an email to hello@thehappylark.com if this happens. The customer will be responsible for the cost of re-shipping. 

The Happy Lark only covers return shipping on items that arrive damaged. If this is the case, please email us at hello@thehappylark.com. If you want to return the item for other reasons, you must pay return shipping. Please email us to initiate the return process. 

Brands such as Grimm's, Grapat, and Bauspiel value the natural variations of wood. These are not defects, but are part of the beauty of the product. We do not offer free returns or discounts because of wood variations. 


Orders typically ship within 24-48 hours. Many orders will ship same-day. 

Orders $75 and up ship free. Orders under $75 ship for $7.50.

All orders ship for $20. Certain oversized items will also have a shipping surcharge.

Yes! Orders $100 and ship free. Otherwise it is $10.

UPS and USPS. Typically smaller-sized orders ship USPS and larger orders UPS.

At this time, we only ship within the USA.


We accept in-store returns within 15 days of purchase. Items must be in original packaging and you must have a receipt. The refund will be applied to the original form of payment. Items with a gift receipt can only be returned for store credit.

THL will only pay return shipping on items that are damaged or incorrect. If you would like to return a shipment, please email us at hello@thehappylark.com to initiate the process. This must be done within 15 days of receiving your package.
