The UPPAbaby Vista V3 has long been the most popular option for a single-into-a-double luxury stroller option. But, with the current steep price increase due to tariffs, many families are considering other options. We love the Veer Switch&Roll, and in many ways it's almost identical to the Vista. Let's compare and contrast these two great options.

Price Comparison: Tariffs Impact the Vista V3

One of the most significant changes affecting stroller prices right now is the increase in cost for the UPPAbaby Vista V3. Due to new tariffs, the Vista V3 is now priced at$300 more than before, making it a pricier option for parents seeking a luxury stroller system. Meanwhile, the Veer Switchback Seat & Roll Stroller Frame maintains its existing pricing, providing a more stable and predictable investment for families.

The Vista V3 now costs $1199.99. This includes the stroller frame and seat (what they call a "toddler seat", although it is made for ages 3 months to 50 lbs).

Veer bundles their products a little differently. You will purchase the Switchback Seat and then separately purchase the &Roll stroller frame. The seat is $399, and the frame is $499, so that brings you to a total of $898 for the same functionality as the Vista V3.

That's a $300 difference!

Performance & Maneuverability

As someone once told me, if the Vista is a BMW, then the Switch&Roll is a Range Rover. The Vista will offer a few more creature comforts, but the Switch&Roll will win out in durability and toughness.

Weight: The strollers are essentially identical in weight, both coming in right around 27.5 lbs.

Dimensions: You'll see the dimensions (when unfolded) are also very similar, although the Switch&Roll is a little longer.

Vista: 36.5" L x 25.7" W x 39.5" H

Switch&Roll: 40.5" L x 25.5" W x 38.0" H

While both have a great shock absorbing suspension, the Switch&Roll's is adjustable. This is because Veer tends to focus on outdoor, off-road capabilities, while Vista is seen more as a sidewalk or street stroller.

Design and features

The Vista V3 currently comes in nine color options. The fabric is removable and machine washable.

The Switch&Roll works a little differently. Every Switchback seat comes in Gray Granite. But, if you wish, you can purchase different "color kits" to switch out your fabric color. There are currently five different color options. It's a different approach to stroller fabric color, and not for everyone. However, I do think this made them really consider removability, and the Switch&Roll's fabric is easier to remove. Another benefit to the Switch&Roll fabric is that it is not only machine washable, but also hose washable. Again, this appeals to the outdoor adventurers. In fact, the ENTIRE stroller frame and seat is hose washable. So easy!

Both strollers fold in a similar fashion, both stand up when folded (in a particular configuration), and both offer recline positions and adjustable straps.

One thing I prefer about the Vista V3 is that it has a no-rethread harness. to adjust the harness on the Switch&Roll, you will need to rethread.

Something else to consider is the versatility of the Veer Switchback seat. While this acts as your main stroller seat, it also fits on four other Veer products, and can also be used as a high chair seat by strapping it to a regular chair. Pretty nifty!

While both baskets have similar dimensions, the weight limit for the Vista V3 is 50 lbs, compared to 30 lbs for the Switch&Roll.

Single to Double (to triple?)

For most customers, the allure of the Vista is its ability to grow with a young family. It's a fabulous single stroller, but can also convert to a double with additional accessories. The Switch&Roll works in the same way.

For the Vista V3, you'll purchase a Rumble Seat ($299.99, weight limit 40 lbs) and for the Switch&Roll you'll purchase a second Switchback seat ($399, weight limit is 50 lbs on the top position but only 40 lbs on the bottom position).

Both brands also offer a bassinet option sold separately ($279.99 for UPPAbaby, $249 for Veer). Both also offer adapters for many brands of car seats.

Both seats are reversible as well.

One more thing to note: the Vista V3 has a piggyback board that a third child can ride on. Veer does not have a third child option.

But, the Switch&Roll offers a cooler that clips into adapters. So much fun for football season!

So which is one is best for my family?

Before the tariff price changes, I recommended the Vista V3 for families that planned on frequenting the zoo, park, or strolling around the neighborhood. I would recommend the Switch&Roll for more outdoorsy, off-roading families. However, now that the Switch&Roll is at such a better price point, I recommend swinging by our Fort Worth shop and comparing the two. If you don't see a huge advantage to the Vista V3, then give the Switch&Roll a try.
