Okay, so you've decided you want an UPPAbaby infant car seat (probably to clip directly in to your UPPAbaby stroller?!), but you're not sure which one to choose. Let's dive in to the two options, the Aria and the Mesa

1. Weight: We sell a lot more Arias than Mesas, and the reason is the weight. The Aria is significantly lighter. The Aria weighs 5.9 lbs compared to the Mesa's 9.9 lbs. We encourage you to come in to our Fort Worth shop and feel the difference for yourself.

2. Capacity: The Mesa does edge out the Aria in this department. The Aria maxes out at 30 lbs or 30", while the Mesa maxes out at 35 lbs or 32". While this might seem like a huge advantage, we find the families are typically ready to move out of their infant car seats and into a convertible car seat by the time a baby reaches the Aria's limits anyway.

3. Base: The Aria's base has a "load leg" while the Mesa's does not. The load leg does offer additional stability and energy absorption in the event of a crash.

4. Cost: The Aria is $349.99 while the Mesa is $329.99.

5. Fabric: The Aria features UPPAbaby's DualTech fabrics while the Mesa features UPPAbaby's SafeTech fabrics. Both fabrics are fire retardant free and are designed to elminate the need for any additional treatment. However, the Aria also features fire retardant free foam.

6. Ease of use: Both car seats have removable and washable fabric. Both have a no-rethread harness.

Our conclusion: Both are great car seats, but if we had to choose, we'd go with the Aria over the Mesa
